Sandplay - CPD Workshops and Training

Our workshops are designed for counsellors, psychotherapists and mental health professionals who wish to experience a deeper look at particular creative interventions.

      Death, Dying and   Bereavement - 180 pounds

This is a practical bereavement course on how to support people by two experienced Hospice workers with creative backgrounds in counselling and social work.

Participants will gain an understanding of the needs of bereaved adults and families and provide the necessary knowledge and skills to work sensitively with loss. The course will provide a solid theoretical base on which to develop your own model for working with different types of loss. 

The course will be of benefit to any professional working in the health or social care sector whether to further self development or as a vital resource when working with bereaved adults and families.

   Sandplay Training £180

     Venue Newton Abbot

 Ken Rabone's work on Sandplay has been published in the journal of the BACP and in the journal of The American Sandplay Society.  He has now trained many therapists in this most creative and therapeutic medium.  This workshop is designed to give therapists of diverse orientations the confidence to begin using a sandtray with both adults and young people.

Writing Therapy  -  £150

This two day workshop is designed to  provide practical guidance, and ideas for using writing as a healing modality with clients. The course is taught by Ken Rabone who worked for many years as an Engish teacher and has run writing workshops with a wide range of different groups.  The course will be of interest and useful to therapists, mental health workers, and all those involved in supportive communities.
